VACANCY by David Cooper & Korey R. Replogle | The Town Magazine
by Jen Avison Smith
Through April 24, Charleston Heights Arts Center
Artist David Cooper and master woodworker Korey R. Replogle collaborate to cast a spotlight on the city’s “dead” motels with Vacancy, a new exhibition of poignant illustrations and intricately crafted frames to preserve an era past. Proceeds from the Blue Angel motel piece sale will benefit the Shine A Light Foundation and Kline Veterans Fund, two of the artists’ partner organizations. The opening reception takes place on March 6 from 5 to 7 p.m., and admission is free.
